i love ganni but knowing people on the inside their initiatives to be size inclusive are a falsity and scarce. they loooooved having paloma as a face of her own collection but they barely stock larges in store. i have friends that work there that usually cannot redeem their free clothes benefits because their own store doesnt stock their size and they can’t redeem their free clothes online! big bummer from a company that does have great sustainability otherwise!
Super excited abt the Big Oil addition. Your insider is great for breaking down opaque topics and has another great voice (“You literally work in fashion, Ochuko” my jaw dropped). But, they have a good point. Big Oil isn’t all villains and evil monsters, just people trying to get by. It’s just frustrating that one of the few remaining ways to make a livable wage in this world is to deal the fate of humanity et al.
Love the news from Ganni - completely missed that article AND their book, thank you for sharing! Also SO here for Big Oil evil goss - read those monsters to filth pls
Loooove the big oil topic!! So excited for more. Interested to know what “luxuries” she says we would have to possibly give up? Everything? :/
Also, does she have any thoughts on the sneaky slyness of Saudi Arabia and their plan to oil-up Africa while the rest of the world (ideally) electrifies and transitions away from oil and gas? At least, I think that’s what I read after COO28.
Sort of related…Coldplay’s tour aims for zero-emissions, is this something she’d have any insight on??
Hi hi! Thank you :) haha yeah when she says luxuries I know she means most of the stuff tbh and she’s not wrong. I’ll ask about Coldplay I hadn’t heard about that but that sounds interesting…. And Saudi in Africa. China in Africa. Europe in Africa ughh don’t get me started !
Carbon credits are bullllshiiiit and we should all be highly skeptical of any claims to be carbon neutral that rely on offsets. Great to see brands like Ganni achieving actual reduction. Your friend is right that the voluntary market is cooked but even 'good' players in this space have been shown to not have managed their projects well and are selling bogus credits that will do next to nothing to actually fix climate change. NOT TO MENTION the havoc that tree planting projects are wreaking on biodiversity in countries like New Zealand where huge swathes of invasive, non-native pine forest grids are being planted for carbon capture (often replacing farmland and/opportunities to rewild with native species)
Wow that point about biodiversity so on point! Didn’t even think about that. These policies and practices honestly just rely and thrive on people staying ignorant. It’s all opaque for a reason

Such good info I didn’t know this at all. Surprised they’ve never been called out for it :(
Somehow because they are Nordic I’m not surprised though…

Yeah ir sucks and tbh MOST industries safe exploitative. Especially the fancy ones. And yeah she really came for me 😂
In re Boeing: I know someone who worked on Starliner. You wouldn’t believe some of the things they told me about that program.
Spill 🤔🤓💯
Yes spill!!! Dms are open 😂
