before last month I thought Nara Smith was the older lady her husband had a child with when he was a teenage model (I forgot that lady's name and assumed they'd since married and had more children)
Never seen any of her videos but I find the discourse around her a bit ridiculous. Maybe it's the result of not being American and also having a mother who was close to Nara's current when she had me+did the homemade meals thing, but after finding out her actual age, I am not surprised a 22 year old former model is still slender after having multiple children (emphasis on the 'former model' part there) or that she's making a production out of homemade meals. Unless she's saying or suggesting other women should do as she does, which afaik she isn't.

- whenever I glance at a young man's shopping on the kassenband 👀 in germany they seem to be always be buying those protein optimized puddings / yoghurts
Have to admit I went through a protein phase at one point and I think it has a lot to do with the demonisation of other macros (fat and carbs) making protein the only 'good' one. And all of the gymshark fitness girls told me this was the only way to build a dumptruck 😔

The protein thing is huge in the Netherlands too right now. I swear there is a protein packed version of everything. I will say though that Lohilo ice cream has probably become my fav ice cream brand protein or not. They are so good!!
Don’t you think the box office numbers for the sequels is becuz that’s what’s being offered? So if you want to go to the movies, and all that’s out are sequels…?
I don’t mind sequels. It’s the remakes that piss me off. At least a sequel carries on a story. A remake is a rehash. Lazy. We didn’t need a Presumed Innocent remake. The original was fine.
I think chicken and egg. Are they getting remade because they’re performing better or is it the way round? Not a fan of sequels personally but what the hungers say are interesting
I feel like people are also more willing to be “influenced” by athletes cause they’re arguably the original influencers. Real people playing sports that are (for the most part) accessible to the everyday person. Would we have influencers today if we didn’t have Michael Jordan x Nike in 1984?
